Role Description

The Corporate Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in South Bay, FL, responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities for Xtreme Aviation LLC. This role manages the general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes, and ensures accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. The Corporate Controller monitors cash flow, budgets, and forecasts; implements internal controls; and maintains compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising accounting staff, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and payables/receivables, and partnering with leadership to provide financial analysis that supports strategic decisions. The role also involves collaborating with external auditors, improving financial systems and processes, and supporting the development of policies that align financial integrity with the company’s operational and growth objectives.

Qualifications
  • Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, month-end close, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and ability to improve financial processes and systems.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including supervising accounting teams, setting priorities, and collaborating effectively with senior management and cross-functional partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in aviation, transportation, or a similar asset-intensive industry is beneficial, along with familiarity with cost accounting and project-based financial tracking.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
