Job summary

Landing Point in New York seeks a senior Controller for its Leasing & Strategic Capital segment. You will own the close, consolidate with the parent, and oversee ASC 842 lease accounting and asset-level records for a high-growth public company.

This leadership role requires 10+ years of accounting, CPA preferred, and proven ability to implement strong internal controls and SOX-compliant processes while coaching a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred) and 10+ years in close and reporting.
• Deep technical knowledge of ASC 842, ASC 360, ASC 810.
• Experience in a public company with G/L ownership and SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for the Leasing & Strategic Capital segment on a US GAAP basis.
• Prepare and review operating company-level financials and management reporting packages.
• Support the parent company’s consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Own the technical accounting for aircraft and engine leases under ASC 842.
• Maintain accurate asset-level accounting for the leased fleet.
• Design, document, and enforce a robust internal controls framework over financial reporting.
• Collaborate closely with FP&A and partner with Legal, Treasury, and Asset Management teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Leasing & Strategic Capital accounting team.

Compensation:

Salary:

$200,000 – $250,000, Plus Bonus
