Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, public relations, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the company’s internal communications strategy and day-to-day execution.
  • Develop and distribute company-wide announcements, leadership updates, organizational news, and other communications via town halls and internal channels.
  • Partner with HR on employee communications related to initiatives, benefits, culture, events, and programs.

Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly collaborative Corporate Communications Specialist to support communications across our organization. This role will be responsible for developing clear, engaging communications that keep employees informed and connected, while also helping strengthen our external presence through media relations, executive thought leadership, customer communications, and crisis and change communications.

The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, strategic communicator, and trusted advisor who can move seamlessly between internal and external audiences. This position will sit on the marketing team, but work closely with Human Resources, senior leadership, and other teams across the organization to ensure communications are timely, consistent, thoughtful, and aligned with company priorities and culture.

Internal Communication
  • Own and manage the company’s internal communications strategy and day-to-day execution.
  • Develop and distribute company-wide announcements, leadership updates, organizational news, and other communications via company town halls and additional internal channels.
  • Partner closely with HR on employee communications related to company initiatives, benefits, organizational updates, culture, recognition, events, and other people-focused programs.
  • Work with executives and functional leaders to translate complex or sensitive information into clear, thoughtful communications for employees.
  • Develop and maintain an internal communications calendar to ensure employees receive timely, coordinated, and relevant information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and strengthen connection across the organization.
Media Relations & Executive Communications
  • Support the company’s media relations and executive visibility efforts.
  • Identify and coordinate opportunities for executives to participate in podcasts, interviews, panels, speaking engagements, and other media opportunities.
  • Manage scheduling, preparation, briefing materials, talking points, and follow-up for executive interviews and appearances.
  • Support responses to inbound media inquiries and proactively identify opportunities to tell the company’s story.
Industry Awards & Recognition
  • Manage the company’s industry awards program, identifying relevant opportunities and maintaining a calendar of submission requirements and deadlines.
  • Lead the development and submission of compelling company, executive, product, and employee nominations in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Track submission outcomes and coordinate communications that promote award wins and recognition across internal and external channels.
Crisis & Change Communications
  • Support communications planning and execution for organizational changes, leadership announcements, business disruptions, sensitive employee matters, and other high-impact situations.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders (executive leadership, HR, Marketing, Legal, etc.) to develop clear, timely, and thoughtful communications for employees, customers, partners, and external audiences as appropriate.
  • Develop messaging, FAQs, talking points, leadership communications, and communication plans for sensitive or rapidly evolving situations.
  • Help establish and maintain crisis communications plans, protocols, templates, and escalation processes so the organization is prepared to communicate quickly and effectively when needed.
  • Ensure internal and external messaging remains coordinated and consistent during periods of significant change.
Customer & External Communications
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Support and other teams to develop customer-facing communications as needed.
  • Support communications related to major company announcements, product or business updates, events, organizational changes, and other initiatives that may impact customers or partners.
  • Ensure internal, customer, and external messaging is coordinated and consistent.
Reputation Management
  • Monitor employer-review and company platforms, including Glassdoor, Indeed, and Google, and coordinate timely, thoughtful responses with HR, Legal, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and report recurring feedback, sentiment trends, and emerging reputational risks, recommending appropriate communications or organizational actions.
  • Establish response guidelines and escalation protocols that ensure public communications are consistent, on-brand, and protective of employee, customer, and company confidentiality.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Serve as a close communications partner to Human Resources, helping plan and execute communications around key employee initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and teams throughout the organization to understand upcoming priorities and communication needs.
  • Provide communications counsel and recommendations to leaders, particularly for high-visibility, sensitive, or complex communications.
  • Help establish communications processes, standards, and best practices across the organization.
Requirements
