Job summary

DC BLOX is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to lead global PR, media strategy, and thought leadership programs. This role coordinates with the external agency, internal executives, and regional directors to amplify brand awareness, protect reputation, and secure high-impact coverage.

The ideal candidate has deep media relations expertise, strong storytelling, and a proven track record managing robust PR programs across regions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed for industry conferences, media events, and executive support.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing external PR agency partners.
  • Proven track record of securing top-tier media placements and managing executive thought leadership programs.
  • Exceptional written communication, editing, storytelling, and speech-writing skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tight deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • PR Agency Operations: Serve as the primary manager for all day-to-day activities with the external PR firm, ensuring alignment on messaging & campaign execution.
  • Single Point of Contact: Act as the dedicated PR liaison to the internal marketing team to ensure PR strategies support overall business objectives and campaign rollouts.
  • Regional & Local Alignment: Collaborate with Regional Community Relations Directors and Field Marketing Manager to triage, evaluate, and respond to region-specific media inquiries and support local presence.
  • Inquiry Management & Response Drafts: Triage inbound media requests, draft official company statements, and craft responses to media outlets.
  • Interview Coordination: Prepare executives for press opportunities and facilitate seamless interviews between journalists and internal SMEs.
  • Bylines & Pitching: Lead the identification of press-worthy topics; partner with the PR firm to craft ideas, oversee article drafting, and drive SME review/approval processes.
  • Crisis & Reputation Management: Proactively identify potential PR risks and help maintain quick-turn response protocols for sensitive inquiries.
  • Speaking Proposals & Submissions: Develop and draft compelling thought leadership and panel abstracts for high-profile industry conferences that align with core strategic business themes.
  • Presentation Development: Collaborate directly with executives to build and refine PowerPoint presentations, talking points, and briefing materials once speaking engagements are secured.
  • Panel Facilitation: Coordinate logistics and prep executives to ensure seamless participation on industry panels.
  • Industry Awards Calendar: Manage the global awards calendar in partnership with the PR agency, drafting and submitting competitive nominations to secure industry recognition.

Description Summary:

Essential Duties:
PR Agency Management & Internal PR Alignment
