Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Head of Communications to lead external communications and PR strategy from our San Francisco onsite hub. You will build relationships with journalists, analysts, and industry influencers, and secure earned media across digital, print, broadcast, podcasts, and social channels.

You will develop messaging for product launches, partnerships, and executive communications, positioning leaders through interviews, speaking engagements, bylines, and media opportunities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading communications or PR for high-growth technology companies.
• Exceptional writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven success securing top-tier media coverage and building lasting press relationships.
• Experience leading communications for product launches and major company announcements.
• Strong strategic judgment with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling narratives.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Compensation: $250K - $400K/yr

Location: On-site, SF

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
