Job summary

Jobot seeks a capital project engineer to lead multi-facility initiatives in a food/beverage manufacturing setting in the United States. You will drive project scope, budgets, timelines, and vendor coordination through startup and validation phases.

The role requires 4+ years in capital projects within manufacturing, strong design and process know-how, and familiarity with GMP, FDA, and EHS standards. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field is required or preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years of capital project engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary capital projects up to $10MM - $50MM.
• Experience in FDA-regulated food/beverage manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, and EHS compliance.
• Experience with utilities, facilities, infrastructure, and process engineering systems.
• Basic AutoCAD proficiency is required.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and project timelines/budgets.
• Proven ability to lead projects from concept through commissioning/startup.
• CMMS/EAM experience preferred (Infor/Hexagon EAM highly preferred).
• PMP or PE license preferred.
• Experience in aseptic or low-acid food manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute capital projects from scope development through startup and closeout.
• Manage capital investments across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Partner with plant leadership and corporate teams on project goals, budgets, and timelines.
• Oversee equipment selection, procurement, vendor management, and contractor activities.
• Support construction management, commissioning, startup, and validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, food safety, EHS, and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot technical and operational issues during project execution.
• Support infrastructure assessments and long-term capital planning strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, FSQ, EHS, Procurement, and Finance teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to automation, packaging, utilities, and production systems.
