Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced corporate associate to join its venture capital and emerging companies practice. The attorney will work on sophisticated transactional matters and serve as a day-to-day advisor to growing companies and investment groups.

Candidates should have a J.D., at least four years of corporate transactional experience, strong drafting and negotiating skills, and comfort using legal tech and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• J.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission, or eligibility for admission, in a relevant U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least four years of relevant corporate transactional experience.
• Experience representing venture-backed companies and investors.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with capitalization structures and financial models.

Responsibilities

• Represent companies and investors in venture financings and related corporate transactions.

Qualifications

• At least four years of relevant corporate transactional experience
• Experience representing venture‑backed companies, investors, or other participants in private‑company transactions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Familiarity with capitalization structures and financial models
• Ability to work effectively with attorneys at different levels of seniority
• Excellent organization, judgment, and attention to detail
• Comfortable incorporating emerging legal technology and AI‑enabled tools into daily practice
• Strong client‑service orientation and ability to work collaboratively
