Job description

Clearwater - St. Petersburg area corporate headquarters needs a Corporate Accounting Manager. This is a publicly traded manufacturing company with manufacturing plants in the United States. You will report to the Director of Accounting, and supervise corporate accounting staff.

• Will manage the corporate accounting staff to ensure compliance with the company's accounting policies, GAAP, and SEC regulations.
• Supervise the monthly financial close process, coordinating with division controllers, tax personnel, payroll, etc. to produce financial statements of several companies.
• Oversee the preparation of the Company's financial, statistical and management reports.
• Responsible for analysis, and reporting of cost related financial information, and cost variance analysis.
• Control the general ledger, asset management, and accounts payable systems
• Maintain integrity of balance sheet accounts
• Provide audit support to internal and external auditors.
• Provide oversight of corporate accounting policies, reviewing the performance of the company's internal controls and completion of SOX requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5-7 years experience in a corporate accounting management position.
• Expertise in accounting for a public traded company - familiarity with GAAP, SOX, and SEC regulations is required.
• In depth experience with SAP G/L and Business Intelligence (BI)
