Job summary

SUGIYO USA, Inc. in Anacortes, WA is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to own the accounting function, partnering with operations and joining senior leadership.

You will lead month-end close, GAAP reporting and cost accounting, in a hands-on role marrying technical expertise with business acumen. This position offers a starting salary range of $120,000–$145,000 per year, with paid health insurance (family options), 401(k), holidays, vacation, and sick leave, plus potential hybrid

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and experience with SAGE 300.
• CPA or comparable professional level.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close and financial reporting with GAAP compliance.
• Manufacturing cost accounting including inventory valuation and COGS.
• Quarterly tax reporting and audit preparation.

Job description

We are a stable, still growing 40-year-old mid-sized food processing company looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to take hands-on ownership of our accounting function partnering with operations and being part of senior leadership. This is a high-impact role for a person with both technical expertise and business acumen. Starting salary range is $120,000 - $145,000, with paid health insurance with family options, 401-K, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave and more.

Role Ownership:

• Month-end close, financial reporting with analysis, GAAP compliance
• Manufacturing cost accounting: inventory valuation, COGS
• Quarterly Tax reporting and audit preparation
• Oversight of AP, AR, ADP payroll, employee benefits, audit review preparation
• Improvement of systems and processes while advising and supporting department managers on budgeting and forecasting

Support:

• An experienced and proven Accounting Coordinator skilled in daily accounting operations who has demonstrated up-skilling and dedication
• The Larson Gross Accounting and Business Consultants Firm - CPAs and Partners with whom we have had long relationships provide FYE Review and Report, tax preparation and consultation
• Long retained IT company and ERP service provider
• An engaged management team who work together

You will bring:

• Progressive accounting experience in manufacturing
• Solid GAAP knowledge and SAGE 300 experience
• CPA or comparable professional level
• Desire to take a growth path to higher and broader finance leadership in continued stable growth and profitability of our company

Location:

We are located in the upscale beautiful coastal community of Anacortes Washington with a lower cost of living than the other desirable PNW cities. Our second-floor windowed office has awesome views of the ocean and mountains. If you would have a long commute, we are open to hybrid flexibility.
