Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Summer Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience in corporate accounting within a Fortune 500 environment.

You will work with the corporate financial reporting team to support essential accounting processes and participate in meaningful projects. Responsibilities include drafting disclosures for the Form 10-Q, preparing statements for multiple retirement plans, and assisting with audits.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s program in Accounting or Finance.
• Must have completed freshman year by the summer of 2027.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting financial statements and related disclosures, including footnotes, for the 10-Q filing.
• Prepare statements for multiple 401K and pension plans.
• Collaborate on assessing new GAAP and SEC guidelines.
• Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Participate in other ad hoc projects as requested.
