Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a summer Accounting Intern at our Headquarters in Cleveland, OH. This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate accounting and exposure to the company's financial reporting team, including benefits plan statements and the 10-Q process.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor's program in Accounting or Finance.
• Must have completed at least freshman year of study by the summer of 2027.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting financial statements and related disclosures for the SEC Form 10-Q filing.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for multiple 401(k) and pension plans.
• Collaborate on the assessment of new GAAP and SEC guidelines.
• Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Participate in other ad hoc projects as requested.

Cleveland-Cliffs is looking for a summer Accounting Intern at our Headquarters in Cleveland, OH. This internship offers hands-on experience and exposure to corporate accounting at a Fortune 500 company. Working primarily with the corporate financial reporting team, you will assist with preparing benefit plan statements, drafting the 10-Q, and other corporate accounting tasks and projects.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting financial statements and related disclosures, including footnotes, for inclusion in the Company's SEC Form 10-Q filing.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for multiple 401K and pension plans.
• Collaborate on the assessment of new GAAP and SEC guidelines.
• Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Participate in other ad hoc projects, as requested.
