Job summary

CVR Energy, Inc. is seeking an Accountant II to perform core corporate accounting tasks including SG&A accruals, reconciliations, payroll, intercompany allocations, and reporting.

The role collaborates with AP, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Corporate Reporting teams to ensure timely, accurate close and compliance. Responsibilities include journal entries, account analyses, and ad hoc corporate accounting requests while supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and schedules for monthly close.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within deadlines.
• Analyze general ledger balances, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits by providing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
