Gates Corporation seeks a detail-oriented accounting professional to handle daily activities for multiple corporate entities from our Denver office. You will book journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and support forecasting and budgeting processes.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Excel. Familiarity with Oracle/Hyperion is a plus. This is a full-time position in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• BS in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting; GAAP knowledge beneficial.
• Experience in large publicly owned corporations is a must.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong team player who is proactive, able to cross-train and build collaborative relationships.
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills and escalation points.
• Works well under pressure and meets fixed deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated with focus on process improvements.
• Knowledge of SOX controls and auditing processes.
• Understanding of Oracle (or similar) financial modules and Hyperion (or similar) software a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excited to work in the office with great teammates.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Mansioni

• Responsible for daily accounting activities of multiple entities as assigned by the Manager of Accounting.
• Support management reporting, including actual results, variance analysis, and distribution of monthly results.
• Assist in preparation of monthly forecast and annual budget with variance analysis.
• Process journal entries and maintain documentation per internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare data for balance sheet review.
• Participate in special projects like tax filings, headcount reporting, intercompany charges, and government reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX matrices.
• Assist audit activities by providing data and responding to inquiries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in corporate accounting.
