Job summary

Hoffman-Construction Corporation in Portland, OR seeks a Corporate Accountant to join the accounting department. This in-office role focuses on quarter- and year-end closings, job profit analysis, and financial reporting.

Work closely with the Assistant Controller and Controller, supporting audits and cost transfers while ensuring accurate bank reconciliations and GL entries. 2–3 years of construction accounting preferred.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP platform.
• Experience using US Bank Single Point or Clearwater Investment Management software is a plus.
• Thrives in deadline-driven environments and collaborates across departments.

Responsibilities

• Back up lead on daily banking activities and reconciliations.
• Communicate cash receipts to stakeholders and apply payments.
• Account for investment transactions monthly.
• Manage financial accounting for assigned entities including overhead coding and journal entries.
• Support audits and project-based contract compliance.
• Provide timely follow-ups and communications with internal and external customers.
• Assist with ad-hoc data requests and departmental projects.
