Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join the in-office accounting team in Portland, OR. The role focuses on quarter-end and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, and cost transfers, working closely with the Assistant Controller and Controller.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and construction-industry exposure. This position is fully in-office per company policy, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of similar accounting experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• GAAP knowledge.
• Construction industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Backup to main lead on banking activities including daily cash reporting and bank reconciliations.
• Manage overhead expense coding, quarterly job profit calculations, account reconciliations and cost transfers.
• Support annual audits and project-based compliance audits.
• Prepare financial statements and respond to data requests from stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
