Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to support quarterly and year-end closings, prepare financial statements, and assist with audits across multiple entities. The role reports to the controller and collaborates with the finance leadership team to ensure consolidated reporting and compliance.

The position involves cost accounting, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and ad hoc tasks to drive project and company financial activities.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge is required.
• Three to five years of professional accounting experience in a similar role.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for multiple entities including quarterly job profit calculations, reconciliations, accruals and financial statement prep.
• Support Controller and Assistant Controller with annual audits and project-based contract audits.
• Coordinate and resolve cost coding issues from accounts payable.
