Job summary

NFI is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance team in New Jersey. The role owns general ledger activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and the month-end close, while translating data into actionable financial insights.

You will collaborate across departments to improve controls and reporting, with 2–5 years of accounting experience, Lawson or Yardi exposure, and strong Excel/Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years progressive, hands-on accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Experience with Lawson or Yardi; Advanced Excel (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and Power BI; AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger: Prepare and post journal entries maintaining GL integrity.
• Sub-Ledger Oversight: Coordinate AP/AR activities for accuracy.
• Month-End Close: Drive efficient monthly close and meet deadlines.
• Account Analysis: Analyze GL accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Accruals & Prepaids: Record monthly accruals and deferrals.
• Fixed Assets: Track and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation.
• Intercompany Transactions: Reconcile intercompany accounts.
