Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Corporate Accountant in the Shelton Area, CT, for a full-time, hybrid role. The position reports to the Controller and will cover day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, strong Excel skills, and ERP system experience. DOE salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 plus a year-end bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Strong corporate accounting experience with GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Exposure to AP, AR, financial reporting, and audit support.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close.
• Support financial reporting and account analysis.
• Assist with AP, AR, billing, and collections as needed.
• Prepare reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Support annual audits and provide requested documentation.
• Assist with process improvements and accounting initiatives.
• Partner with Controller and leadership to drive improvements.

About the Corporate Accountant Opportunity

Our client is looking to add a Corporate Accountant to its growing accounting and finance team. This is a newly created position reporting directly to the Controller and offers the opportunity to take on a broad range of accounting responsibilities while gaining exposure to leadership.

The Corporate Accountant will play an important role in day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, identify inefficiencies, and help improve existing accounting processes.

Corporate Accountant Responsibilities
