Job summary

Kforce has an opportunity in Meriden, CT for a Corporate Accountant to support month-end closings, GL reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting. You will collaborate with internal teams and auditors to ensure strong financial controls and accuracy.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and brings at least 4 years of accounting experience in financial services or banking with proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, lookups).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience within financial services, preferably insurance or banking.
• GL experience with reconciliations and related processes.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, macros and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading month-end and year-end closings
• GL and reconciliations
• Variance analysis, and management reporting
• Assist with software data integration and workflow projects
• Ensure financial controls are in effect, support internal partners and external auditors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of Accounting experience within the Financial Service, preferably Insurance, or Banking Industry or regulated company
• GL experience (reconciliations, implementations etc.)
• Strong Excel (pivot tables, macros, lookups)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
