Job summary

Dyno Nobel, Inc. is seeking a corporate accountant to provide routine and general accounting services for Dyno Nobel North America. You will support the Controller group and contribute to month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred) and 3+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn SAP and our accounting software are a must.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred) or finance required, CPA preferred.
• 3+ years experience preferred, but may be a recent college graduate.
• Knowledge of accounting journal entries and how entries impact financial statements.
• Knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
• Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge or ability to learn SAP and company accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month end close procedures including booking journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Prepare a variety of accounting statements such as working papers, schedules, exhibits, or summaries to provide business information to management and field personnel.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documents to audit teams as requested.
• Communicate with supervisors; managers; field staff; and other business, corporate, accounting, and finance staffs to obtain and exchange information.
• Perform planning, primarily regarding individual workload to meet deadlines and business objectives.
