Job summary

Dyno Nobel is seeking an accounting professional to provide routine and general accounting services aligned with company objectives and standard practices. You will support the Controller group and contribute to month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred) and 3+ years of experience, with knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and SAP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month end close procedures including booking journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documents to audit teams as requested.
• Communicate with supervisors, managers, field staff, and finance teams to exchange information.
• Plan workload to meet deadlines and business objectives.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with month end close procedures including booking journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Prepare a variety of accounting statements such as working papers, schedules, exhibits, or summaries to provide business information to management and field personnel.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documents to audit teams as requested.
• Communicate with supervisors; managers; field staff; and other business, corporate, accounting, and finance staffs to obtain and exchange information
• Perform planning, primarily regarding individual workload to meet deadlines and business objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred) or finance required, CPA preferred.
• 3+ years experience preferred, but may be a recent college graduate
• Knowledge of accounting journal entries and how entries impact financial statements
• Knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
• Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge or ability to learn SAP and company accounting software
