Job summary

Flywheel Energy, LLC in Oklahoma City is seeking a Corporate Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support corporate-level reporting for an Oil & Gas organization. You will manage monthly close, reconciliations, and prepare internal and external reports.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of SE/FC accounting, experience with ARO, DD&A, JIB, and adherence to internal controls and SOX requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries for corporate entities.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and internal reporting packages.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with consolidation of multiple subsidiaries or business units.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and resolve variances.
• Prepare entries related to asset retirement obligations (ARO), depletion, depreciation, and amortization (DD&A).
• Assist with revenue, joint interest billing (JIB), and production accounting data as needed.
• Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate accounting data.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with external financial audits.
• Ensure compliance with SOX/internal controls and company policies.
• Participate in process improvements to streamline accounting workflows.

Job Summary:

The Corporate Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting corporate-level reporting for an Oil & Gas organization. This role will be responsible for monthly close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific accounting standards such as successful efforts (SE) or full cost (FC) accounting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of Oil & Gas accounting practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
