Job summary

Bisnow in Denver, CO is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support general ledger accounting across multiple entities and properties. You will partner with the CFO on month-end close, intercompany and payroll accounting, and oversee accounts payable while driving system enhancements.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in GL accounting, real estate experience, strong Excel, and familiarity with MRI/Yardi; CPA progress is a plus. This full-time role offers growth and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in real estate development or property management.
  • Experience with payroll and benefits accounting, including general ledger accounting and analysis.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reconciliations, analysis, pivot tables, and lookups.
  • Experience with MRI and/or Yardi strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Concur or similar expense management platforms is a plus.
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Generate management, development, and construction fee invoices.
  • Prepare reimbursable expense invoices and supporting schedules.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
  • Perform the general ledger accounting for payroll and benefits.
  • Prepare payroll-related invoices, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Analyze payroll and benefits accounts and resolve variances.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on payroll and benefits-related accounting matters.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing as needed.
  • Review and approve A/P coding for corporate invoices.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable on expense classification and reconciliations.
  • Manage corporate cash activity and prepare corporate bank reconciliations.
  • Administer corporate credit card and expense reporting processes.
  • Work within existing accounting systems and participate in ongoing system enhancements.
  • Support the continued implementation and optimization of expense management systems.
  • Collaborate with property managers and internal teams on accounting and expense-related questions.

Corporate Accountant

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Denver, Colorado

Our client, a Colorado-based real estate development and property management firm, is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support general ledger accounting across multiple entities and properties. This role will serve as a key partner to the CFO, with responsibility for month-end close support, intercompany accounting, payroll accounting, and accounts payable oversight.

This is a hands-on accounting position for someone who enjoys being a reliable point of contact, maintaining accuracy, and collaborating across teams. The company is also evolving its accounting systems, providing an opportunity to contribute to process improvements and potential ERP enhancements.

What you’ll do

General Ledger & Month-End Close

  • Partner with the CFO on month-end close activities across multiple entities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries

  • Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations

Who you are

$90,000 - $110,000 a year

Company-Provided Benefits

  • Compensation: The estimated annual compensation for this position is $90,000-$110,000 annually, with discretionary bonus potential
