Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process and standards of practice. This full-time, day-shift role expects you to perform staff nurse activities and serve as charge nurse when assigned.

You will maintain accountability for assigned patients, collaborate with the healthcare team, and tailor care to age and development. A BSN is preferred and Florida RN licensure with BLS/ACLS/PALS as required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN must be obtained from an accredited school of nursing within three years of hire or transfer.
• Employees hired/transferred between Aug 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 follow offer letter/job description.
• BSN preferred.
• Florida RN license or eligibility for licensure.
• BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required on first day of employment.
• ACLS – Required at Hire or Transfer for specified units.
• PALS – Required Within 6 Months for specified units.
• CPI/psychiatric unit training within 90 days.

Shift: Days

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.
