Job summary

The Lawton Standard Co. in Kentucky is seeking reliable individuals to join our Core Room team.

No foundry experience is required—we provide on-the-job training to help you learn a skilled core-making process producing sand cores for grey and ductile iron castings. As a Core Maker you will operate core-making equipment, load and unload core boxes, inspect and finish cores, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate core-making equipment.
• Load and unload core boxes.
• Inspect cores for quality and accuracy.
• Trim, repair, and assemble cores as needed.
• Apply core coatings and prepare finished cores for production.
• Monitor sand and binder systems and perform basic equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Follow all safety and quality standards.
