Job summary

Pullman School District 267 Kamiak Elementary School is seeking a Core+ Paraeducator to assist with math, reading, reading readiness and writing skills for elementary students. The role includes supporting students with disruptive behaviors and collaborating with Core+ staff to implement lessons and assessments.

Starting immediately, the position is part-time with a schedule of 6.5 hours per day, 180 days per year, and benefits described in the district’s SBEB offerings.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years of college or an associate's degree or equivalent ParaPro/alternative certification.
• Evidence of experience with elementary students and basic clerical/computer skills.
• Ability to document data, prepare reports, and answer emails.
• Instructional skills in math, reading, and writing.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating positive learning environments for young students.
• Support certificated staff with reading, writing, and math instruction.
• Maintain student records and materials; assist with assessments and progress monitoring.
• Communicate student progress with staff and adjust methods to meet diverse needs.
• Provide small group or one-on-one instruction as needed.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
