Job summary

Capital Group in Charlotte is seeking a Core Ops Equity Trade Lead Analyst to lead daily production of global equity trade operations, oversee trade capture, settlement, and reconciliation, and mentor the team. You will partner with Trading, Legal, and Operations, develop dashboards in Power BI, and drive process improvements and automation to strengthen controls and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in investment operations or trade operations, banking operations, or related environment.
  • Strong understanding of equity trade lifecycle, including settlement and reconciliation.
  • Experience with Excel and Power BI for reporting and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of global equity trade processing, including capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Serve as SME and escalation point for complex trade processing, settlement, and risk matters.
  • Coordinate priorities across the team, coach members, and ensure consistent procedures.
  • Partner with Trading, Legal, Investment Operations, brokers, custodians, and service providers to complete trades.
  • Use operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and KPIs using Excel/Power BI.
  • Lead process improvement and automation to strengthen controls and scalability.
  • Document procedures and escalation paths; support testing and implementation for enhancements.
  • Demonstrate end-to-end ownership and communicate with stakeholders.

You will lead daily production, provide coaching and technical guidance, and serve as a trusted subject matter expert for complex trade processing, settlement, data analysis, controls, and operational risk matters. You'll combine trade-lifecycle expertise with a data-driven, risk-aware, and continuous-improvement mindset to strengthen the team's operating model and support scalable business growth.What you will do· Lead day-to-day production and oversight for global equity trade operations, including trade capture and enrichment, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, exception management, and resolution of complex trade, cash, and position discrepancies.· Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex trade processing, settlement, market, counterparty, custodian, and operational risk matters.· Coordinate priorities and workflows across the team, provide coaching and technical guidance, and reinforce consistent execution of procedures and controls.· Partner with Trading, Legal, Investment Operations, brokers, custodians, counterparties, and external service providers to support timely trade completion and resolve issues across the trade lifecycle.· Use operational data to identify trends, emerging risks, recurring exceptions, capacity constraints, and opportunities to improve service delivery and decision-making.· Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, key performance indicators, and risk metrics using advanced Excel, Power BI, or comparable business intelligence tools.· Lead process improvement and automation initiatives that strengthen controls, standardize workflows, reduce manual touchpoints, and improve scalability and operational resiliency.· Document procedures, control points, escalation paths, and process changes; support testing, implementation, and operational readiness for system or business enhancements.· Demonstrate end-to-end ownership by driving issues to resolution, communicating clearly with stakeholders, and escalating material risks appropriately.· Act as a key liaison between Equity Trade Operations and internal and external stakeholders, advocating for the team's priorities, contributing operational expertise to enterprise initiatives, and driving alignment across workstreams.I am the person Capital Group is looking for.Basic Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.· Significant experience in investment operations, trade operations, securities operations, banking operations, financial services, or a related environment.· Strong understanding of the equity trade lifecycle, including trade support, confirmations, settlement, cash and position reconciliation, exception management, operational controls, and risk management.· Experience leading work in a high-volume, deadline-driven, high-risk environment where accuracy, timeliness, judgment, and clear communication are critical.· Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, related formulas, and accurate analysis of large datasets· Experience developing or using operational reporting or dashboards in Power BI or a similar business intelligence tool to support analysis, risk monitoring, and decision-making.· Exceptional attention to detail and a strong risk-aware mindset, with demonstrated ability to identify potential issues, control gaps, and process vulnerabilities proactively.· Proven ability to analyze complex or ambiguous issues, create clarity, exercise sound judgment, and drive solutions across multiple stakeholder groups.· Demonstrated success improving, standardizing, and documenting processes to reduce operational risk, strengthen controls, and improve scalability.· Experience coaching and mentoring associates, coordinating team priorities, and reinforcing accountability for outcomes.· Strong ownership mentality, including following work through to completion and escalating risks appropriately.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across global teams.Preferred Qualifications· Experience supporting equity trading operations within an asset management, investment management, brokerage, custody, or banking organization.· Experience partnering with brokers, custodians, counterparties, and other external service providers across global markets.· Experience with Power Automate, workflow automation, system testing, AI-enabled tools, or other technologies used to improve operational processes.· Experience leading cross-functional projects or strategic initiatives focused on risk reduction, automation, operating-model effectiveness, and business growth.· Experience working within a global operating model supporting multiple markets and time zones.“I can apply in less than 4 minutes.”You’ve reviewed this job posting and you’re ready to start the candidate journey with us.
