Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking Converting Equipment Operators to manage the converting line, handling automatic and manual processes and machines. You will begin on the line learning one function and will progress to multiple roles with opportunity for greater responsibility and pay.

This full‑time position requires a High School Diploma or GED, safety compliance, and the ability to work a 12‑hour shift in a loud, physically demanding environment. You may assist other line functions as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Laser Guided Vehicles (LGV) preferred.
• Understand and comply with all manufacturing safety procedures including PPE.
• Physically capable of manual labor on a 12‑hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Prep and load material for different machines.
• Operate and observe machines using computer systems and controls.
• Troubleshoot machines and request maintenance as needed.
• Respond to misfeeds or jams and remove damaged product.
• Maintain fluids and lubricants; monitor adhesive levels for cores and cases.
• Perform product quality checks.
• Operate manually and with crane to move finished product.
• Complete product changeovers efficiently and according to specifications.
• Fill in throughout department and assist with other line functions.

Position Overview

Sofidel America, a global leader in tissue paper manufacturing, is seeking Converting Equipment Operators. This role is responsible for managing specific functions on the Converting Line including automatic and manual processes and machines. Equipment Operators will begin on the line learning one function and will progress throughout the department, learning multiple roles and machines, providing an opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
• Knowledge of Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs) (preferred)
• Understand and comply with all manufacturing safety procedures including personal protective equipment (required)
• Able to work in a physically demanding environment including temperature extremes, loud noise, avoiding slipping, tripping, and falling hazards
• Physically capable of manual labor that includes bending, walking, sitting, and climbing in and around machinery and equipment for entire 12-hour shift
