Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking Converting Equipment Operators in Inola, OK. This role covers operating and learning multiple functions on the converting line, with opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation.

Responsibilities include material prep, machine operation, troubleshooting, quality checks, and crane-assisted movement of finished products. The position emphasizes safety, physical endurance, and teamwork in a 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of LGVs is preferred.
  • Must follow all manufacturing safety procedures including PPE.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment with temperature extremes and loud noise.
  • Capable of manual labor including bending, walking, sitting, and climbing during a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

  • Prep and load material for different machines.
  • Operate and observe machines using computer systems and controls.
  • Troubleshoot machines and request maintenance as needed.
  • Respond to misfeeds or jams and remove damaged product.
  • Maintain fluid levels, oil, lubricants, and monitor adhesives for cores and cases.
  • Perform product quality checks.
  • Operate with crane to transfer and move finished product.
  • Complete product changeovers efficiently and according to specifications.
  • Fill in throughout department, assisting with other functions of the converting line.

Position Overview

Sofidel America, a global leader in tissue paper manufacturing, is seeking Converting Equipment Operators. This role is responsible for managing specific functions on the Converting Line including automatic and manual processes and machines. Equipment Operators will begin on the line learning one function and will progress throughout the department, learning multiple roles and machines, providing an opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
  • Knowledge of Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs) (preferred)
  • Understand and comply with all manufacturing safety procedures including personal protective equipment (required)
  • Able to work in a physically demanding environment including temperature extremes, loud noise, avoiding slipping, tripping, and falling hazards
  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes bending, walking, sitting, and climbing in and around machinery and equipment for entire 12-hour shift
