Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH seeks a Director of Laboratory Services to oversee daily lab operations, compliance, and budgetary management across regional locations. This role partners with Medical Directors, regional leadership, and staff to advance patient care and organizational standards while driving revenue growth and quality improvement.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in laboratory leadership, MLS/MLT certification, a Bachelor's degree, and preferably a Master's in Healthcare Administration

Qualifications

• MLS Certification (MLS) or MLT Certification by a recognized agency (required)
• Bachelor's Degree (required)
• 5+ years of leadership experience in a laboratory setting
• Masters in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic oversight to achieve the laboratory's mission and values.
• Plan and direct regional outreach growth and 24-hour hospital operations.
• Manage department budgets and capital expenditures; ensure cost effectiveness.
• Promote performance improvement and compliance with Joint Commission, CAP and other standards.
