Job summary

Pathadvantage Pa in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Core Laboratory Accessioner/Processor for a full-time evening shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm). Responsibilities include accessioning specimens, entering demographics into the LIS, sorting and labeling, specimen shipping, and maintaining filing and cleanliness in the Core Laboratory environment.

Qualifications include phlebotomy experience as a plus, with adherence to CLIA and CAP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with accessioning specimens into LIS following CLIA/CAP guidelines.
• Ability to label, sort, and track specimens and maintain proper temperatures.
• Experience with shipping specimens per safety standards.
• Maintain filing system for clinical requisition forms.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and quality control.
• Maintain client relations by phone to confirm specimen discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Accessioning – receive specimens into the Core Laboratory Accessioning Department and enter patient demographics into the LIS.
• Specimen sorting and labeling; ensure proper storage temperatures for non-immediately tested specimens.
• Shipping – pack specimens with cold packs/dry ice when required, update shipping logs, and notify vendors.
• Filing – maintain the filing system for clinical requisition forms.
• Laboratory maintenance – keep the lab clean and organized, wipe counters and equipment.
