Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a shop floor technician to accurately log labor hours, read and follow product criteria, and maintain clean work areas. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections and support CNC operations as needed.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, attendance, and teamwork within a high-precision manufacturing environment. Training on the Aussie Pace System and TPM procedures is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting product criteria and activity instructions.
• Ability to perform basic metrology checks using calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Familiarity with TPM concepts and pre-shift inspections.
• Understanding of safe shop floor practices and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Wand onto the shop floor data system for labor tracking.
• Read and follow product criteria and activity instructions.
• Maintain clean work area and TPM checklists per schedule.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of cores for defects.
• Operate or assist with CNC machines as directed.
• Record OEE data and assist with shift handoffs.
