Job summary

Nolte Precise Manufacturing in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Tech Lead to oversee CNC inspection processes, verify geometric tolerances, and ensure parts meet GD&T specifications. You will guide inspection workflows, support operators, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

You will program and operate CMM equipment (PC-DMIS), mentor quality technicians, and interface with customers for certification packages while maintaining daily quality metrics and adherence

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate and convey information to others clearly.
• Excellent math skills up to and including statistics.
• Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to verify operator and machine performance against production documents and customer specs.
• Experience with CMM programming or similar systems is preferred.
• Experience with machining or AS9100 is a plus.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Tech Lead to support CNC machining operations. This role is responsible for inspecting machined parts, verifying dimensions, and ensuring all components meet strict quality and GD&T specifications. The Quality Tech Lead will guide inspection workflows, support operators, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Primary Job Duties

• Complete designated inspections and record results in a timely manner
• Prepare and process non-conforming material reports
• Operate and program CMM equipment using PC-DMIS
• Support production personnel quality questions and initiatives
• Lead and participate in the calibration program
• Lead and verify daily maintenance and 5S standards
• Communicate work status to team members
• Mentor and oversee quality technicians.
• Interface with customers for certification packages and other inspection information.
• Prepare and submit monthly metric reports.
• Follow policies and procedures, Vision, Values, Principles, and Philosophies.
• Maintain acceptable attendance.
• Any specifically assigned task.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 25lbs, including bending, twisting, crouching, etc.
• Must be able to work with oils/coolants
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment
• Must be able to frequently stand or walk for long periods of time
