Job summary

Trustmark Bank is seeking a Technical Development Analyst to provide daily and ongoing technical support for Core Banking and Ancillary applications in Ridgeland, MS. You will code, test, implement, and install components, working with IT BAs and TAs to shape data and reports for business needs.

You will gain hands-on programming experience, learn legacy-to-web integration, and collaborate on patching, testing, and deployment in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year college education with emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management/Business Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Hands-on programming experience in any language.
• Understanding of integration between legacy (Mainframe) applications and web-based applications.
• Understanding of database structures and database access methodologies.
• Basic understanding of client/server, internet, intranet and mainframe systems.
• Understanding of data presentation and reporting methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire and ability to learn legacy/new technology quickly.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to address a situation, identify the issue and communicate to supervisor.
• Ability think outside the box to come to a solution.
• Some API knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Codes and develops recommended technical solutions for improvements within a business department as required for implementation within the Core Banking and Ancillary Applications.
• Implements and installs Core Banking and Ancillary Application components, including new releases.
• Applies patches and fixes needed for proper software operation.
• Plan database and program specifications and design screens and reports.
• Provide on-call support to trouble-shoot issues from nightly batch cycle.
• Works with IT BAs and TAs to execute test cases/scripts for changes.
• Perform tests of new systems and modifications; meet project deadlines.
• Under direction of a Senior TA, develop knowledge and provide project support.
• Ensure adherence to IT standards and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
