Job summary

Zions Bancorporation’s Enterprise Technology and Operations team seeks an Application Development & Integration Manager — Core Banking (BaNCS) to lead the BaNCS platform and surrounding apps. You will direct lifecycle, modernization, and platform integration efforts across cross-functional teams.

You will drive QA excellence, Agile/DevOps adoption, and governance for partnerships and upgrades, ensuring high availability, security, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with 8+ years in software engineering, application development, or core systems delivery in banking/financial services.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing external vendor partners and MSAs.
• Hands-on core banking experience; BaNCS preferred or equivalent platforms (e.g., FIS, Fiserv).
• Proven QA leadership with automated testing and environment management to safeguard production stability.
• Strong Agile/Scrum, CI/CD skills, incident and release management.
• Excellent communication and ability to partner with senior leaders and execs.
• Familiarity with financial industry governance, data privacy, and IT risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end lifecycle, maintenance, feature development, and modernization for BaNCS core banking platform and peripherals.
• Lead vendor development partners, set metrics, manage SLAs, and ensure engineering standards.
• Oversee QA initiatives, automated testing pipelines, and test environments for stability.
• Institutionalize Agile/DevOps, CI/CD, and continuous improvement for faster releases.
• Collaborate with business lines, branches, and enterprise architecture to align with banking needs.
• Monitor core KPIs, availability, and SLOs to meet audit and regulatory expectations.
• Implement system health monitoring and observability across the core banking ecosystem.
• Provide governance for integrations, upgrades, and risk/compliance policy exceptions.
• Mentor engineers and QA staff to foster innovation and accountability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
