Job summary

Renaissance Historic Exteriors seeks a seasoned Sheet Metal Studio Director to lead the Copper Studio, driving it toward national leadership in architectural sheet metal for restoration contractors. You’ll own production scheduling, crew leadership, quality, costs, and growth with a hands-on leadership approach and clear ownership of a P&L.

You will partner with Accounting, Sales/Estimating, and Safety to ensure profitability, on-time delivery, and safe operations, with a metrics-driven EOS

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in metal fabrication or related production environments.
• Ability to manage production schedules, crews, and equipment/assets.
• Strong financial acumen — comfortable owning budgets, COGS, and P&L for a division.
• Experience with sales, estimating, and pricing strategy.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to hold a team to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and schedule all operations and projects completed by the sheet metal studio, from order to delivery.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive production schedule, tracking manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
• Grow team capabilities and studio culture through hands-on coaching and quality standards.
• Partner with the Safety Director to continuously improve jobsite and shop safety.
• Track and analyze COGS and monthly division financials; own the division’s operating income statement.
• Collaborate with Sales/Estimating on pricing, estimating, and scheduling; help build pricing model.
• Identify growth opportunities – new products, processes, machines, capital improvements.
• Develop the studio’s marketing presence: social media, digital content, catalog, website/storefront.
