Job summary

VCI Construction is seeking a Supervisor of Copper Splicing in Henderson, NV. You will oversee a team of copper splicers, ensuring splicing projects meet customer and industry specifications, manage equipment and materials, and work from engineered blueprints while tracking production and quality.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience; 4-year degree preferred.
• Advanced analytical, project management skills, and communication skills.
• Must be effective in leading team efforts, providing recommendations, giving presentations.
• FOA CERT
• OSHA 30

Responsibilities

• Supervise all operations to ensure that all splicing projects are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
• Supervise, train, and develop a team of copper splicers.
• Control/oversee the work of splicing teams, maintaining safety as a priority.
• Fill-out daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, complete "as-built maps" for areas built.
• Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
• Perform quality control inspections by reviewing work completed by employees and or sub-contractors.
• Maintain and enforce company, federal and state rules and regulations, such as non-discriminatory practices, payroll and overtime guidelines, etc.
• Administer appropriate corrective disciplinary actions and prepare supporting documentation to address employee performance and/or behavioral issues.
