Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC is seeking a Copper Splicer to connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services.

You will perform aerial and underground splicing with safety, test and troubleshoot after installation, and document work with daily production reports. Physical stamina and a valid DOT medical card are required, with access to competitive weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• DOT physical exam with a valid medical card.
• Six months copper splicing experience or one year in telecom.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform aerial and underground cable upgrades and splicing tasks.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work in daily production reports and update maps and material records.
• Other duties as assigned.
