Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC in Martinsville, VA seeks an entry-level Copper Splicer I to connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services through precise splicing and repair.

Under guidance you will perform upgrades, test and troubleshoot, document work, and operate safely at heights and in various environments. A high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass a DOT physical are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam to obtain a valid medical card.
• Six months of copper splicing experience or one year in telecom.
• Certified pole climber or ability to demonstrate proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports with maps and material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned.
