Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC. is hiring a Copper Splicer to connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications. You’ll splice and repair connections to ensure reliable phone and internet services, performing upgrades and troubleshooting as part of a field team.

You’ll work with guidance to meet industry standards, travel as needed, and maintain safety through DOT medical clearance and a valid driver’s license. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Six months of copper splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned
