Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Copper Splicer to connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services through precise splicing and repair work.

Responsibilities include aerial and underground splice tasks, post-install testing, and adherence to industry standards, with opportunities for growth in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Six months of copper splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Valid State driver’s license (not Provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance and fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports and map marking.
• Other duties as assigned.
