Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Copper Splicer to join our field crew. You’ll connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by splicing and repairing connections.

You’ll splice, test, and troubleshoot post-installation, working on aerial and underground networks with safety as a priority. The role requires passing a DOT physical, possessing a valid driver's license, and 18+ years of age, with prior copper splicing or telecom

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid State driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to pass a DOT physical and obtain medical card.
• Six months of copper splicing experience or one year in telecom.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
• Safely work at different heights, from underground to the air
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks
• Document work through daily production reports and map markings
• Other duties as assigned
