Job summary

The role involves routine testing, inspection, and analysis of copper materials to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements. The Technician will document results, operate calibration checks, and support quality improvements across production, engineering, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical training in chemistry, materials science, metallurgy, or quality preferred.
• Experience in a metals/manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document results clearly.
• Proficiency with Excel and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished copper products.
• Prepare samples and conduct dimensional, mechanical, chemical, and physical testing.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and calibration checks.
• Document results and maintain quality records accurately.
• Compare results to specifications and communicate nonconformances to leadership.
• Assist with investigations of defects and support audits and process improvements.
