Job summary

Hailiang Copper Texas, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the Quality Department at Sealy, TX. The role involves performing routine testing, inspection, and analysis of copper products to meet specifications and quality standards, with a shift from 4:00PM to 12:00AM, Monday through Friday.

You will work closely with Quality, Production, and Technical teams to document results, investigate issues, and support continuous improvement in our copper manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical training in chemistry, materials science, metallurgy, manufacturing technology, quality, or a related field preferred.
• Previous laboratory, quality inspection, manufacturing, or testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished copper products.
• Prepare samples for testing using established laboratory procedures and equipment.
• Conduct dimensional, mechanical, chemical, and physical testing as required.
• Operate and maintain laboratory testing and measurement equipment.
• Document test results and maintain laboratory records.
• Communicate out-of-specification results or quality concerns to Quality and Production leadership.
• Assist with investigation of product defects and nonconforming material.
• Support inspection activities for incoming materials, in-process, and finished products.
