Job summary

Still Bright is seeking a Lead Process Modeling Engineer II to own the SysCAD digital-twin, TEA, and LCA, directing analytic tools from lab through commercial deployment. You will build and validate models, integrate with TEA and financials, and collaborate with the CTO and VP of Commercialization to articulate customer value in global copper extraction.

Qualifications

• Process Simulation Mastery: 8+ years of experience with SysCAD, METSIM, or HSC.
• Techno-economic Modeling Mastery: project process economics from simulation data.
• Technical Breadth: chemistry, mass/energy balances, unit ops, thermodynamics.
• Electrochemistry Literacy: unit operations, Faradaic balances, power, efficiency.
• Commercial mindset: translate simulations into persuasive business cases.
• Education: BS/MS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Ownership: independent contributor who handles ambiguous builds with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Process Model Ownership: own SysCAD digital-twin and architecture.
• Predictive Capability: craft customer-specific value propositions from data.
• TEA, LCA, and Financial Model Integration: lead TEA and LCA, wire to financial models.
• Model–Plant Validation & Data Integration: reconcile outputs with lab/pilot data.
• Software & Reproducibility: maintainable, version-controlled tooling with automation.
• R&D Feedback Loop: guide process improvements from modeling results.
• Grant Program Support: provide model/TEA/LCA outputs for grants.
• Team Leadership & Documentation: oversee modeling priorities and ensure clear documentation.
