Job summary

Still Bright seeks a Lead Process Modeling Engineer II in Kenilworth, NJ to own the SysCAD digital twin and TEA/LCA framework, driving economic and environmental projections for copper hydrometallurgy. You will collaborate with the VP of Commercialization and CTO, delivering scalable models and defensible numbers for customers and grants.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with process simulation (SysCAD or similar).
• Strong Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) experience.
• Deep knowledge of electrochemical unit operations and thermodynamics.
• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or Extractive/Process Metallurgy.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the SysCAD digital-twin and commercial-scale process model architecture.
• Transform data into detailed economic and environmental projections for customers.
• Lead TEA, LCA, and financial model integration across the value chain.
• Develop feedstock-to-process tooling to optimize process configurations.
• Validate model outputs against lab/pilot data and maintain repeatable validation workflows.
• Build maintainable, documented tooling with automation (e.g., Python).
• Support grant applications with model, TEA, and LCA outputs.
• Lead and document modeling priorities and architecture for the team.
