You will assign and review staff, implement production plans, and monitor equipment usage while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. A strong background in supervisory methods and mining operations is essential.

The role involves coordinating with maintenance and operations, training staff, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a 24/7 mining environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 5+ years related operational experience or Bachelor’s in a mining discipline with internship.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and safety practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control safe, efficient operation of assigned unit.
• Assign and review staff work and implement production plans.
• Inspect progress and direct remedial actions as needed.
• Prepare staffing, materials, and equipment estimates for activities.
• Maintain inventories and approve purchases; monitor time and equipment use.
• Train staff in safety procedures and maintain safety data sheets.
