Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Cope Operator for the 2nd shift in St. Cloud, Minnesota. You will set up, operate, and inspect cope on specialized equipment while maintaining high quality and craftsmanship. This hands-on role includes machine PMs and training others as you grow within the team.

Starting wage is $23.00–$34.50 per hour with a 15% shift differential and a $1,000 new hire bonus, payable across milestones after employment begins. Typical hours: Mon-Thu 4:30pm–2:00am, Fri 2:30pm–6:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ months of related machine operating experience preferred.
• Ability to read prints and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and verify work on assigned cope machining equipment.
• Monitor product to ensure quality standards are met and maintain documentation.
• Provide training to others as requested and support teammates.
• Follow safety procedures and complete preventative maintenance on machines.

Quanexis looking for a Cope Operator - 2 nd Shift to join our team located inSt. Cloud, Minnesota.

If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing quality results, this role offers the opportunity to build your skills on a variety of specialized equipment. As a Cope Operator, you'll set up, operate, and inspect cope, helping ensure our products meet the highest standards for quality and craftsmanship. You will also be responsible for machine preventative maintenance (PMs).

Your growth matters here. As you become proficient on additional equipment, consistently achieve production goals, and share your expertise by training others, you'll have opportunities to advance and take on greater responsibility within the team.

Salary: $23.00-$34.50 per hour (rate includes 15% shift differential), starting wage varies based on your experience

New Hire Bonus: $1,000, payout increments at 30-days, 60-days and 6-months of employment!

Work Hours: Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 2:00am, Friday 2:30pm - 6:30pm

Work Hours if overtime is required: Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 4:00am, Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm, potential Saturdays
