Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Services Coordinator to oversee our volunteer program across Michigan. You will organize staffing for events, recruit volunteers, and coordinate training to ensure mission-focused engagement.

The role requires an associate degree in business, HR, or related fields, with bachelor’s preferred and healthcare experience appreciated. Schedule is full-time, typically 8:00 am–4:30 pm, on-site across the network.

Qualifications

Ensures the overall administration and implementation of volunteer services. Responsible for ensuring that our organization is always staffed with the best and most reliable individuals and that they are correctly utilized for the fulfilment of our mission.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates and implements the volunteer program.
2. Sources and recruits volunteers through various techniques (databases, e-mail, social media etc.).
3. Collects information on availabilities and skills; arranges for appropriate training when needed.
4. Produces schedules for everyday activities; assigns responsibilities to the right people for special events.
5. Coordinates teams of volunteers for large-scale actions.
6. CommPosition Summary:unicates frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed.

Required:

• Associate degree in business administration, human resources, social studies or relevant field.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, social studies or relevant field.
• Experience in a healthcare setting.
