Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Ogden Regional Medical Center seeks an Ultrasound Coordinator to lead the Ultrasound team, coordinate ACR accreditation activities, and perform diagnostic ultrasound exams with patient-centered care at the core of all duties.

The role requires leadership skills, a RDMS credential, and an Associate Degree with timely completion. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a large healthcare system.

  • Associate Degree in ultrasound or related field with available upgrade steps.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee first-line supervision of Ultrasound personnel and coordinate activities within General and Women’s Ultrasound.
  • Coordinate activities involved with ACR accreditation and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound tests on all age groups, including pelvic and abdominal scans, under supervision and following policies.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address concerns to ensure comfort.
  • Assess and provide age-appropriate care and interpretation of information for patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Ultrasound Coordinator, you will be part of our friendly and compassionate Ultrasound team. We are proud to provide the "care like family" mission of the hospital. In this role:

  • You will be responsible for all first-line supervision of Ultrasound personnel and coordination of activities within both the General and Women’s Ultrasound department.

  • You coordinate activities involved with ACR accreditation and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.

  • You will perform diagnostic ultrasound tests on all age groups, scanning patients' pelvic or abdominal areas under general supervision and following established policies and procedures. In doing so, you will obtain information about internal organs, fluid accumulations, masses, development of fetuses, peripheral vascular and cardiac areas.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to explain procedures to patients and allay apprehensions.

  • You will be responsible for assessment, treatment of care appropriate to all ages of patients served.

  • You will demonstrate your knowledge and skills in obtaining and interpreting information in terms of the patients’ needs.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

  • Associate Degree must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
